Reliant and the Houston Texans are excited to honor and recognize exceptional Houston-area student athletes through the Scholarships for Champions program.
This program awards six $10,000 scholarships to high school student athletes who have exhibited remarkable leadership on the field, in the classroom and throughout the community. Since 2005, the Scholarships for Champions program has awarded over $650,000 to more than 100 students from the greater Houston area. We’re committed to supporting and celebrating a diverse group of outstanding student athletes by helping set them up for success.

Nomination Criteria
To be eligible, nominations must be submitted by a candidate's coach, teacher or school administrator. Coaches, teachers and administrators may nominate multiple students.
- Attendance
- Full-time high school student, scheduled to graduate in spring 2024
- College bound
- Planning to pursue a college degree (enrolled in college, beginning fall of 2024)
- Varsity
- Participated in a varsity sport between August 1, 2022, and the present
- Academics
- Demonstrated high scholastic achievement
- Athletics
- Passion that has helped improve a team's morale or success
- Leadership
- Proved in athletics, academics and the community
- Ethics
- Demonstrates integrity to the student's teams, school and self
- Community involvement
- Leadership and engagement in the local community
- A compelling story
- Overcoming personal challenges and obstacles in sports, school and life
